I made this cake several times and was never satisfied with the photos. Always felt it deserves them to be much better. I published anyway because red currants are in season now and wanted to share recipe for you to try. The cake really is pure heaven!

oops! Also a question (if you know), I have an old kitchen and I'm going to buy a silicon mold for muffins, how can I know if the temperature of the oven is going to "melt" my mold? thank you!

Hey Harleshinn!

A good silicone mold is safe and won't melt up to ~500 degrees centigrade, which is ususally the highest range an electric or gas oven will go up to.

=O I was about to be robbed! I have to search another mold, this one holds 230 degrees centigrade!

I am not sure actually. I have some silicone molds, but still haven't used them. I think it's 200C top, but I personally wouldn't go over 180C (most of the cupcakes are baked on this temp). To be on the safe side ;) I have a friend who uses it all the time, will get back to you when I find out.
